Dear Friends,
I’m very happy to invite you to the reception of Sunset Colonies at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum in Miami, Florida. The exhibition features works from the portfolio For I Shall Already Have Forgotten You, now part of the Frost Art Museum collection, alongside never-before-exhibited photographs from the project.
Sunset Colonies is my first monograph—a 7-year documentary project capturing the disappearance and gentrification of mobile home communities in South Florida. Published by the University Press of Florida, the book reveals the struggles of residents facing rapid urban change and economic displacement. With essays by Amy Galpin, Louis Herns Marcelin, and Alpesh Patel, the monographs examines these communities that once offered residents the promise of stability, affordable housing, and a peaceful retirement. Yet this dream has been shattered by aggressive development, soaring rent prices, and environmental challenges.

Please join us on February 15, from 6-8 PM for the exhibition’s opening.
